Help with food needs
Even though Sullivan House clients make their own meals there are still a lot of ways you can help. You could coordinate a group to provide a potluck dinner to the shelter residents. To help, all you have to do is cook your favorite dish and drop it off at the shelter. By teaming up with other volunteers you’ll help to provide a great meal for the people at Sullivan House. This will also help our clients save money which can be used for housing. You can also help by sponsoring a food drive where you work, in your neighborhood, or at your church. Finally, you can donate super market gift certificates that clients can use to buy their own food (this is especially needed during Thanksgiving and Christmas).

The education [training] helped me earn more money and be in a career that I enjoy. The budget showed me what I was, at the beginning, wasting my money on and helps me stay focused toward my future goals.
